10:30am – 1:30pm
At the end of three years of activity, the Rurbance project presents its results at EXPO 2015, the Universal Exposition that Italy will host from May 1 to October 31, 2015. The event will include the project partners, stakeholders of the local territories and representatives of EU institutions who will debate on the three main themes regarding relations between urban and rural areas: food policies in the urban context and rural development, strategies for the sustainable mobility and connection of the territories, land planning and landscape enhancement. These are fields in which new models of governance are emerging along with integrated policies for local development in metropolitan areas, where cooperation between urban and rural areas is a challenge for sustainable development.
A simultaneous translation service for English, Italian, German and French will be made available.
